County approves summer schooling programThe Cullman County School Board announced the other day it had approved the application of some schools for summer schooling program. This, despite of the fact some students think summer schooling program is a drag. Through the program, the students have to spend only four hours or equivalent to half day schooling schedule. Hank Allen, Cullman County superintendent said there are schools that decide for credit-recovery programs that allow students to cut their stay in school into four hours only. In order to recover lost during the schools, students in schools such as West point as well as Good Hope School. These are booth high school institutions that plan to complete their credit through computer programs.

Allen said the students are working hard to master the computer program since they knew the program is really working for now. The students enrolled in the program would also climb a ladder once they’ve already mastered a certain program. There are program soft wares in the school remedial program that they also use. The program at Cullman County is only available for 7th until 12th grades. The same program is also implemented in Hancock Academy’s career center. Allen said they’ve been looking also for students to enroll in the summer school program and would not take it as that it would not look like a punishment for many students.

1. The program would be able to help students to utilize their summer days through the education program for computer technology offered by many schools.

2. The computer program is very timely so that elementary graders will have access to the use of computers and information technology.

3. Through the program, the students wasted time during summer is now utilized and put into good use rather than nothing at all.

4. The young generation of students should maximize their learning of the basics in computer so that they won’t log behind in the competition.
