 State summer program give 15 job employments for this season

The 15 local youth will now start working next week even though this City of Tuskegee is not any more operating during this Summer Youth Program. Tuskegee City Council was entirely been informed last May 27 for its regular meeting. These cities is quite limited through its finances upon sponsoring its own respective youth summer work program, but still manage of securing jobs towards 15 participants from these 40 applicants. With that, it’s been considered that this type of local summer program will be known as Summer Youth Employment Training Program that will be offered all throughout the states. For this year, about 142 slots will be available in Montgomery, Bullock, Autauga, and Macon Counties. Orientation was entirely been held towards worksite supervisors last May 18. For that mere reason, participants of this orientation will be this coming June 1 and this program will now be operating from June 3 till August 13. Workers will now be assigned in the following areas that include:

• Public Works or Inspection Division (2)
• Police Department (1)
• Community and Economic Development or Moton Field (2)
• The Public Works or Streets and Solid Waste Division (4)
• Community and Economic Development or Henderson Park (4)
• The Tuskegee-Macon County Head Start (2)

In some other business of last May 27 to its regular meeting, the council conducted the following:

• Viewing the power point presentation that traces street of paves and repairing activities in the past several years that have passed.
• Deciding of renewing the lease of building and to its surrounding parking area intended to Police Department Substation of 104

Martin Luther King Highway. Since, this building was entirely been owned through W.T. Wadsworth Oil Company. Its been recommended upon the non-renewal of this lease due to its financial budget limitations since the limited manpower will entirely utilizes substation and newer police department building that will be place in old Tuskegee Medical and Surgical Clinical Center just across from this Magnolia Haven.

• A well approve resolution that amends the process upon obtaining bereavement resolution or upon the proclamation from this city.
• A well approve resolution that authorizes city manager upon executing the educational grant agreement with Alabama

Department of Environmental Management (ADEM). This educational grant that is about $13,740 will now be entirely used upon the development of city’s existence drop off recycling programs, purchasing various recycling containers as to support of extending the kinds of materials upon its acceptance, purchasing containers as to provide dropping off point towards special events, develop recycling education program and various outreach activities upon providing newer website link that gives supportive answers towards recycling questions.

 Lander ready of launching summer continuing education lineup

The Lander University is now offering wider assortment of career courses, excursions and lectures as being part of this summer educational continuing program that will be opening starting this month of May until August. These career offerings considered as mere bridge lessons especially for the beginner and refresher intended to current players. Numbers of career courses primarily focus on computerization skills that include introduction for computers, eBay for the beginners, basic and the advance instruction in the field of Microsoft Excel, for the graphic designing and this one day session of computerization repairs. The introductory of this career course been located in Russian and these two levels for conversational Spanish are just considered as among those communications classes on schedule basis. Especially that the basics of this sign languages will now be offered towards those students who are quite interested upon educationally learning sign languages as mere method upon communicating with those deaf or those hearing impaired individuals. For various music lovers, Dr. Reed Gallo who is currently the assistant professor in the field of music in Lander will entirely be leading the class upon providing perspective composers and even styles of music ever since during the year 1750s.
